It
is my great honor to serve as the Chair of the Board
of Directors at the 17th Busan ITS World Congress.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to
all those who have worked for ITS. We look forward
to the future when the quality of life and environment
would improve thanks to the development of environmentally-friendly
and ubiquitous transportation. This is the trend
we observe all around the world, and I am confident
that ITS would, and should, play a major role in
these new developments. I hope the Busan ITS World
Congress will act as a catalyst to shepherd in the
new ubiquitous transportation age by demonstrating
cutting-edge technologies and sharing the up-to-date
achievements in research, government policies and
strategies with experts, government officials, researchers
from research institutes, and international organizations
from around the world.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like
to extend a warm welcome to all of you, and urge
you to submit your papers so that you will be able
to partake in this important global congress on
ITS in Busan.
I look forward to greeting you in person in the
dynamic port city of Busan, Korea!
